Presumably you have bought a new oil pressure sensor and you feel it isn't quite right and perhaps has been used before?

It shouldn't happen but sometimes a new unit is removed from stock for testing purposes and if it doesn't cure the problem is cleaned and returned to stock.
Rarely does cleaning remove traces of previous use and rarely does the packaging remain as new but regardless of these more obvious signs the thread will retain a shiny surface on one side of the vee if it has been previously fitted.

I don't know but it is quite straightforward to identify, if there is an accessory wire - not all cars have that facility.

Colour codes can change with territory and other reasons so best practice is never to rely on them and always verify with a test lamp.

Tom Chichester, the FIXYA expert on watches, usually recommended taking a watch to a jeweler where they have specialized tools to remove and replace a watch battery for you. This is generally not a do it yourself type of fix, as if you knew how to open the watch, you would have the old battery to locate a similar battery on sale. I searched the internet using http://www.google.com and did not see a reference for a battery, only ads to purchase a used watch.

You get the dealer to reprogram it using their computer scanner device. Sounds like they aren't really a dealer.

That's a safety feature. Throttles should never be open unless someone is at the helm of your mystery device.

the visor is held in place with 2 screws. the part is covered by a cap that covers 90% of the area, but I can't figure out how to get the cap off, either. prying every angle and spot does nothing except dent the headliner and scar the cap. how can something so miniscule cause such a problem?

You forgot to mention whether it is a common rail injection system or mechanical using either a distributor type pump or an in-line pump.

Distributor type injection pumps with hydraulic governor can be difficult to bleed and some patience and experience is needed to rid the governor housing of air.
In-line pumps are the easiest to bleed and should present no difficulties but in both cases once the pump is air-free it is best to leave one injector pipe loose while cranking for a maximum of 10 seconds, then tighten and loosen the next one and repeat. I used to find it convenient to lighten the load on the starter by trickling a little ether into the intake once the engine is cranking. If great care is used metering the amount of ether the engine will actually run on it, achieving a much more useful cranking speed.

Common rail systems are entirely different and the mere presence of fuel is not enough - the computer will not switch on injector pulses until the fuel pressure in the rail is high enough...
